Stop The Comparison Game

I love following people on IG that inspire me, motivate me, push me to be a better human, mom, and athlete, and people that push me to follow my dreams, but it can be really HARD sometimes. Seeing all these gorgeous feeds, perfect photos, muscles popping all over the damn place - it can play mind tricks on a person.

It's hard. You start comparing. Why dont I look like that? Why can't I get my IG feed to look so beautiful like theirs? Why don't I look like her at 4 weeks out, 5 weeks out etc. Why doesn't my life look like that? πŸ€” Man, their life is so perfect, they really have their shit all together...

STOP THAT MINDSET, girl! πŸ™…πŸ½β€β™€οΈEven for me when I was 4 weeks out from my first ever bikini competition, being the leanest I have been, but I still didn't walk around like the picture on the left. I'm flexing every muscle I possibly can! The picture on the right was me just standing super relaxed. HOW I LOOKED 90% OF THE TIME. But, I would still catch myself playing the comparison game with other competitors and other athletes, and it would put me in such a negative mindset. I started to doubt my OWN progress and my own journey. 🧐

SO, when you're scrolling through IG and you start to feel negatively towards yourself or your body, you have to realize that their "perfect PHOTO", and "perfect FEED", is JUST THAT. It is ONLY that.

Their every day life DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THAT. You cant compare your life, to someone else's highlight reel. 🌟🎞

YOU ARE ENOUGH. πŸ’• You are beautiful no matter what stage of life you are in. Please dont get caught in the comparison game.

πŸ–€ Comparison is the thief of joy.
